How To Book

Booking

   1.     Call Linda on 0141 570 1312  or email info@music-stars.co.uk

   2.     Choose a date and time and pay a £25 deposit to secure your booking.

   3.     We confirm your arrangements and send you directions for your day.

 

Gift Vouchers

1. Paid for at the time of booking and are valid for up to 12 months.
2. Gift Vouchers can be posted to your address or the singer’s address with a message of your choice.
3. When ready to book just call to arrange a suitable time and let us know what you’d like to sing.

Choosing a song

Once you’ve chosen your song, just call to confirm it is available– we have backing tracks for just about every song you can think of.

If you have trouble choosing, please call and we’ll help as much as we can.  It is a good idea to choose something you are familiar with and feel comfortable singing all the way through without it being too high or too low for your vocal range.  Lots of practice helps!

If there is enough time before your booking, we will mail the track to you so you can practice at home

 

At the Studio

You will be met on the date of your booking in Glasgow at the studio by Linda, who will introduce you to the sound engineer and show you round.

 

Setting Levels

When you’ve settled in, it’s time to prepare for recording.  The first thing we will do is set your sound levels and make sure you are comfortable.  Don’t worry if you don’t think you sound your best straight away as it does take time to warm up.  (Most people feel a little nervous at this stage – it’s quite normal !!)

 

The Recording

After setting everything up you will be recorded singing your song all the way through.  Depending on which MusicStars package you have, you will then have the chance to sing again until the engineer is happy with your recording, and you can hear yourself being played back.

 

Editing and Mixing

Once you have finished your singing session, either Matt or Eddie will edit and mix your recording (editing and mixing time is dependant on package), adding effects such as echo and reverb to make you sound like a star

 

Photo Session

During some of the mixing time, you’ll be needed for your photo session for the CD cover.  You will be able to choose your favourite photo from the session to use for the cover (MusicStars Express customers will have their photo chosen for them)

 

Listen to your CD!

When the editing / mixing and photo session is over, you’ll have a chance to sit back and relax - as you hear your completed CD for the first time.
