Terms
- Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the voucher. We regret that after this period the voucher cannot be redeemed and will not hold any value.
- Gift vouchers are transferable to another person or persons providing that the transfer is notified to and agreed to by MusicStars within the time period that the voucher is valid. Full details of the transfer must have been given to MusicStars in advance of the time that any booking is being made in order to check transfer with original purchaser or original recipient, if thought necessary.
- Vouchers can only be used for the description, studio time and/or number of persons as stated on the certificate unless vouchers have been exchanged by prior arrangement by MusicStars for a different MusicStars package of the same or greater value of the current voucher providing the difference in cost has been fully paid in advance of the recording date. Refunds cannot be given for exchanges to a lower value package.
- Vouchers purchased in November or December are refundable if unwanted until 30th January of the following year. For all other periods, refunds for unwanted gift vouchers can be given, but only within 30 days from the date of purchase of that voucher. An advisory call must be made by the purchaser to inform MusicStars that the voucher is being returned, followed by return of the voucher, and a refund will be made to the original purchaser after MusicStars receive the voucher. If the voucher was paid for by debit or credit card, then refunds will be made to the original card used for purchase.
- All bookings, other than gift voucher bookings, require a deposit to confirm the booking. In the event of cancellations or non-attendance we regret that deposits will not be refunded and an administration charge may be applied.
- Gift voucher bookings cancelled within a week of the recording date may be subject to an administration fee for re-booking.
- It is important to arrive in time for your booking as the studio runs to a tight schedule and sessions are unable to run past the allocated time. It is advisable to check carefully in advance as to where the studio is located and allow time to find the studio and allow for traffic. In the event of late arrival it will be entirely at the discretion of the sound engineer as to whether it is still possible to go ahead with the booking at that time. If the booking needs to be rescheduled, an administration charge will be applied.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and we ask that for children’s parties there are at least two adults present where possible to help with the appropriate supervision of children.
- Required studio etiquette
We strongly request that all clients avoid touching studio equipment, microphones, drums etc. as these items can be easily damaged and costly to repair or replace.
- Whilst we do allow alcohol in the studio, consumption prior to, or during an event must be kept to a moderate level. We reserve the right to insist that individuals leave the premises if we find them to be:
- Behaving in a way that indicates excessive alcohol consumption or the taking of drugs.
- Exhibiting loud or aggressive behaviour or behaving in a way that we feel is antisocial or potentially offensive.
- Involved in any behaviour that we judge at the time to be unfitting for a service of this type. This includes not having sufficient respect for the building, facilities, equipment and personnel involved in the provision of this service.
- Recordings are licensed for personal use only and not for subsequent commercial sale.
